vAmiga is a Commodore Amiga emulator for macOS. Designed to recreate the experience of using an original Amiga, vAmiga supports various models and configurations. Users can run Amiga software, games, and demos by providing a Kickstart ROM, which can be legally obtained or downloaded as a free AROS ROM.

Follow the below basic setup guide for vAmiga to help you get up and running.
Step 1: System Requirements
- Ensure your macOS version is 12 or later.
Step 2: Download and Install vAmiga
- Visit the vAmiga official website.
- Download the latest version of vAmiga.
- Open the downloaded file and drag the vAmiga app to your Applications folder.
Step 3: Obtain a Kickstart ROM
- Legally obtain a Kickstart ROM file from your Amiga computer or purchase it from legal sources.
- Alternatively, download the free AROS ROM from the vAmiga website.
Step 4: Launch vAmiga
- Open vAmiga from your Applications folder.
- When prompted, navigate to the location of your Kickstart ROM file and select it.
Step 5: Insert a Floppy Disk Image
- Download an Amiga Disk File (ADF) from the internet.
- Drag and drop the ADF file into the vAmiga window.
Step 6: Start Using vAmiga
- After inserting the ADF, the emulator will boot the disk image.
- Begin exploring your old Amiga software and games.
